“Do I really have to go to church?” often reveals something deeper than attendance—it exposes whether we approach church as consumers or contributors. Scripture reminds us that the church is not an event or a building, but a people—a body and family where each person plays a vital role in spiritual growth. When we disengage, we drift toward stagnation, but when we invest, we grow, find purpose, and help others do the same. Church shifts from feeling optional to essential when we realize we don’t just attend—we belong.
